Wiksten clothing is designed and handmade by Jenny Gordy, who believes that people should put their hands to use and make things. Her dedication to handcrafting is inspired by her granparents, Ruth, who taught her to sew doll clothes and quilts by hand, and Vern Wiksten, a Swedish jewelry maker. The Wiksten aesthetic combines elements from her childhood, such as the sweet simplicity and innocence of doll clothes and the contrasting colors and graphic patterns of quilts, and reinterprets them into modern wearable style.
